Stephanie Kimber is a New Hampshire Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Having trained at Antioch New England Graduate School, she received specialized training and was granted a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since then, she has worked with disadvantaged and culturally diverse families in inner cities. While working in Massachusetts, Stephanie served as an administrative supervisor in a large community mental health center and serving a staff of over twenty therapists. Working in community mental health and school-based programs, she provided individual, family, and group counseling to clients struggling with a multitude of issues including educational problems, behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, psychosis, and trauma. As a consultant for the North Middlesex Regional School District, Stephanie developed group curricula and led children’s groups that focused on a variety of topics including grief, ADHD, self-esteem, and anger management. Feeling that her clients often search for a source of deeper meaning in their lives, Stephanie came to MAPS out of a desire to integrate spirituality into her work as a therapist. She encourages her clients to use their own unique and personal definitions of spirituality as a tool for healing and a way of re-discovering the joy in their lives. Stephanie currently works with couples, families, adults, and children, many with a variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma. You may contact Stephanie at MAPS by telephone at 603-355-2244, extension 264, by mail at 19 Federal Street, Keene, NH 03431 or by e-mail at stephanie.kimber@mapsnh.org. |
