Cancer Support Group
F
acilitated support groups for persons who are coping with their own diagnosis of cancer. The groups help those want to connect with others who share the unique understanding of what it means to live with cancer, its treatments, and the changes it can bring to day-to-day life. All ages are welcome. No fees are charged

Cancer Caregivers Support Group
A facilitated support group for those who are in some way caring for a loved one who has been diagnosed with with cancer or other life-threatening medical condition. Group members share their strength and knowledge so that they are better prepared to provide care for both their loved one and themselves. No fees are charged.

Creative Art and Music Therapy Group for Girls
A therapeutic group designed to encourage discussion and participation for girls to build confidence, healthy self-esteem, improve body image, learn coping skills and emotional regulation, and develop goal setting and communication skills. (Click here for a detailed flyer.)

Groups will be led by Stephanie Kimber, LCMHC and Adele Michaelides, MA.  Most insurances accepted and a sliding fee scale is available.  For further information and referral, call MAPS at 355-2244, ext. 101.
 

RECLAIMING YOUR LIFE: Living With Chronic Pain or Illness
If you are one of the millions of people in the U.S. challenged with chronic pain and/or chronic illness, feelings of being isolated, unheard and misunderstood can be as difficult as pain or illness itself.  Often, anxiety, depression and tremendous frustration accompany chronic conditions, leaving one feeling terribly lonely. MAPS Counseling Services is now offering an ongoing, weekly group for those living with chronic pain and/or chronic illness. (Click here for a detailed flyer.)

Pastoral Care Training Program
The Pastoral Care Training Program is open to clergy and lay people with pastoral care experience and responsibility.  This program welcomes diversity.  Members of all denominations and faiths are welcome.  This learning opportunity will focus on the pastor as a person and will provide a confidential consultation process in which current issues and challenges can be explored.  Through careful understanding of professional boundaries and enhanced interpersonal skills, the goal of the program is to help increase one's effectiveness in the parish or ministry setting.  Participants may apply for membership in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors as a Pastoral Care Specialist.

Individual, couple and family therapy are also available at MAPS Offices in Keene and Peterborough. Health insurance may be applicable.
